Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm by Jaimie Admans

Today I’m delighted to be taking part in the blog tour for Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm by Jaimie Admans

Synopsis

All she wants for Christmas…

Leah Griffiths has woken up after a few too many glasses of Prosecco with a hangover – and discovers she’s accidentally bought a little Christmas tree farm in Scotland!

At first she’s horrified, but perhaps it’s the perfect way to forget all about her cheating ex.

And when she meets grumpy (but ridiculously gorgeous) pumpkin farmer Noel underneath the mistletoe, Leah begins to believe that at Christmas time, anything can happen…

My thoughts

There is something rather lovely about this time of year.  Yes I love the warmth of summer and wearing fewer clothes, having the heating off and spending lots of time outside but there is something rather special about autumn.  The nights are drawing in, the trees are turning golden, there’s a nip in the air and… christmas is just around the corner.  I know, I know I’ve mentioned the dreaded C word but at the end of the day you can enjoy the warmth, love and goodwill without getting all caught up in the stress and materialism.  I’m not talking about christmas shopping, endless rolls of wrapping paper and trying to find the perfect gift that won’t just end up at the charity shop come January.  No, my thoughts are turning to long, cosy evenings and weekends snuggled up with a glass of something delicious and warming, reading a good book.  I read such a variety of stuff throughout the year and sometimes I love nothing more than escaping into something soft, warm and full of good old fashioned romance.

Snowflakes at the Little Christms Tree Farm is one of those books.  It’s filled with loveable characters, a gorgeous little dog named Gizmo, pumpkins, idilic settings, hot chocolate and, of course, Christmas Trees. There’s enough spice in the mix to warm you from head to toe as you sink into this novel and escape to cold, wintery scotland with Leah as she makes the ultimate change in lifestyle whilst trying to escape a rotten relationship.

Life has been pretty tough for her since her parents died two years earlier and the discovery that her boyfriend has been cheating just sends her over the edge.  Before she knows it she’s consumed one too many glasses of Prosecco and bought herself a christmas tree farm in Scotland. Now, any normal person may panic that they have absolutely no idea how to run a christmas tree farm but Leah is determined to follow her heart and make a success of her new life.  The only problem is that the farm isn’t anything like the pictures, at least not now, four years since it went on the market.

When Leah arrives in Scotland unsurprsingly she discovers a farm that needs a lot of work and her money dwindling fast. Has she got what it takes to turn things around and make her christmas farm dreams come true? And will her annoying, yet sexy new neighbour who runs the pumpkin farm next door help or hinder her progress along the way.

This was an absolute delight to read and left me feeling warm and fuzzy inside.  Perfect for this time of year as we leave the warmth, sunny memories of summer behind and try to find the silver lining of the winter ahead of us.  Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm is the perfect pick me up for gloomy autumnal/winter days.

Thank you so much to the lovely team at HQ Stories for inviting me to take part in this blog tour and providing me with a review copy.  I absolutely loved my stay ay the Little Christmas Tree Farm.

About the author

51ytJeZm7FL._US230_Jaimie is a 32-year-old English-sounding Welsh girl with an awkward-to-spell name. She lives in South Wales and enjoys writing, gardening, watching horror movies, and drinking tea, although she’s seriously considering marrying her coffee machine. She loves autumn and winter, and singing songs from musicals despite the fact she’s got the voice of a dying hyena. She hates spiders, hot weather, and cheese & onion crisps. She spends far too much time on Twitter and owns too many pairs of boots.  She will never have time to read all the books she wants to read.

She has been writing for years but has only just plucked up the courage to tell people.  She is the author of chick-lit romantic comedies Kismetology and The Chateau of Happily Ever Afters, and young adult romantic comedies Afterlife Academy, Not Pretty Enough, and North Pole Reform School.
