Brightsquare photo challenge – April 2021.
This theme is ‘bright’ and each image must be a square.
This is Maddie, our eight-year-old rescue cat. She came to us last July and brought a little sunshine along with her. Just four months earlier we had lost our cat of 11 years, Perry. He was sadly knocked down by a car and we were heartbroken. He is still very much missed but giving Maddie her forever home has eased the sorrow. Bright on the eye and bright on the soul too. ❤️
If you would like to find out more about the photography challenge or would like to take part too please visit Becky’s site at BrightSquare for more information (and some beautiful photographs too!)
Maddie looks gorgeous, and she must have felt like she had landed on her paws coming to you 🙂

Maddie is a beautiful cat. How wonderful that you rescued an 8-year-old cat! Our first rescue cats live into their upper teens. Scardy Boy was 19.5 when we had to put him to sleep. It was such a hard decision.

Thank you Marsha. She is a complete joy and incredibly playful. I love how they all have such different personalities. She doesn’t stray to far and so I’m hoping she’ll be with us for many years to come. Saying goodbye is always the hardest but the love they give makes it totally worthwhile. ❤️😊

I wasn’t a cat person right away. They have slowly become impossible to live without. I’m glad you have Maddie now. She is almost the exact reverse of our beloved Scardy Boy. https://tchistorygal.net/2020/08/23/ode-to-an-old-kitty/
